Noteworthy enhancements include a new center ice logo, a state-of-the-art video board suspended from the ceiling, and a modern gym facility for player use. The venue staff prepared for a sold-out crowd of over 15,000 attendees, setting a new attendance record for a PWHL team’s home arena. Additionally, merchandise boxes were unpacked, stocking a new store near the entrance with jerseys and sweaters, allowing fans to purchase personalized player jerseys right from the start, a rarity in women’s professional sports.
The inaugural game is set for Friday at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET, featuring the Goldeneyes facing off against the Seattle Torrent, marking the beginning of two fresh franchises and potentially igniting a new west coast rivalry.
