“Recall Alert: Toyota Vehicles in Canada Face Display Issue”

Transport Canada has issued a recall notice for 70,480 Toyota vehicles in Canada due to a potential issue with the instrument panel display. The recall affects models such as Venza, Highlander, Tacoma, and GR Corolla, as well as some Lexus models with a 12.3-inch display. The problem could prevent the display from showing crucial information like vehicle speed, brake system status, and tire pressure warnings due to a software error during startup.

Owners will be notified by mail to bring their vehicles to a dealership for a software update on the combination meter. In some cases, the dealer may need to inspect and replace the combination meter. Toyota Canada plans to inform affected owners by mid-November. The safety recall aims to address the issue promptly to prevent any potential risks of accidents or injuries.
