The PWHL’s two latest teams have revealed their official jerseys. On Tuesday, the league showcased the inaugural jerseys for PWHL Vancouver and Seattle, just a month before the expansion teams clash in Vancouver. The Bauer jerseys prominently display the city names on both the home and away jerseys. Both teams are set to unveil their names and logos before the season kicks off, and these will be integrated into their 2026-27 jerseys.
Vancouver’s jersey, currently unveiled, draws inspiration from the city’s natural surroundings with a color scheme of “pacific blue and cream with an earthy bronze accent.” Sarah Nurse, forward for PWHL Vancouver, expressed excitement about the jersey reveal, anticipating the upcoming game where she will wear it for the first time. She looks forward to showcasing the jersey in front of the strong fan base in Vancouver on opening night.
Seattle’s jerseys feature a color palette of “deep slate green and cream with a river blue accent.” The team, led by PWHL Seattle GM Meghan Turner, emphasized that the jerseys pay tribute to the league’s inaugural season with a classic design that reflects the journey leading to their first year in Seattle.
The PWHL season is scheduled to commence on Nov. 21, with Seattle playing Vancouver in one of the two games on the opening night. Both teams were constructed through an expansion draft process, resulting in the existing six teams losing notable players.
Vancouver boasts a strong defensive lineup with players like Sophie Jaques, Claire Thompson, and Mellissa Channell-Watkins from the Walter Cup-winning Minnesota Frost. Notable signings for Vancouver include Hannah Miller, Jennifer Gardiner, Emerance Maschmeyer, and Kristen Campbell.
Seattle showcases a mix of size and skill, potentially fielding a formidable top line comprising Hilary Knight, Alex Carpenter, and Hannah Bilka. Vancouver will play its home games at Pacific Coliseum, hosting the inaugural game against Seattle. Seattle will utilize Climate Pledge Arena, also home to NHL’s Seattle Kraken and WNBA’s Seattle Storm, for its first franchise home game against the Minnesota Frost on Nov. 28.
