Taylor Swift enthusiasts will soon have the chance to experience the singer’s groundbreaking Eras Tour finale in Vancouver from last December once again. Revealed on Good Morning America to its viewers, a new movie titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show” is set to premiere on Disney+. The movie will showcase a complete concert film of Swift’s last performance on the Eras Tour at B.C. Place.
Accompanying the movie release will be a six-episode docuseries about the tour, with the initial two episodes debuting on December 12. The Eras Tour, spanning 149 shows and 20 months, culminated in Canada, captivating over 10 million fans across 19 countries.
Fans had already started speculating about a potential film after spotting a camera crew documenting Swift’s final three shows in Vancouver. This is not the first time the Vancouver show has garnered attention from the star.
Fresh from launching her 12th studio album, Swift has confirmed that the title track of “The Life of a Showgirl” ends with the crowd noise from the sold-out B.C. Place concert. Expressing her emotions, Swift shared that it takes her back to the cherished memory of standing on that stage for the last time during the tour that was deeply significant to her.
The new concert feature, scheduled to release a day before Swift’s 36th birthday, is distinct from the 2023 film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which preceded the release of her 11th album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The upcoming movie will include the era introduced in May 2024, not present in the initial concert film, but highlighted in the December 12 movie.
