The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has unveiled approximately 30,000 pages of documents, which include images, court records, and emails related to Jeffrey Epstein. This release comes after the initial disclosure of documents last Friday and Saturday concerning the DOJ’s case files on the deceased convicted sex offender.
The paperwork reveals various Canadian ties, with one file containing an April 2020 letter drafted by the DOJ and dispatched to authorities in the U.K. The FBI and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York had sought to interview Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, then Prince Andrew, regarding potential links to fashion magnate Peter Nygard.
The letter indicated that evidence connected Mountbatten-Windsor to both Nygard and Epstein in separate sex-trafficking investigations. It mentioned that the former prince had visited Nygard Cay, Nygard’s lavish Bahamas property, where the mogul allegedly trafficked minor and adult female victims.
Although the former prince was not a target of any probe at the time, the letter clarified that there was no indication of any criminal activity on his part under U.S. law. It suggested that Mountbatten-Windsor might be asked to testify in either the Nygard or Epstein cases if he provided pertinent information during an interview.
Moreover, U.S. authorities had specific inquiries for their U.K. counterparts to pose to Mountbatten-Windsor, including details of his interactions with Epstein or Nygard, visits to their properties, and associations with women linked to either individual.
Nygard has faced multiple sexual assault allegations across different jurisdictions, culminating in a 2023 conviction by a Toronto jury on four sexual assault charges.
In a separate FBI record, allegations surfaced in August 2020 from an unnamed individual claiming to have been groomed by a Serbian Canadian “lingerie model actress” and another individual in 1996 when they were 19. The complainant reported that their artwork was stolen by the pair, who needed money to settle a debt. The account detailed a scheme involving false romance and grooming orchestrated to lead to an encounter with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell, who was charged with sex crimes in July 2020, was found guilty on several counts, including sex trafficking conspiracy and sex trafficking of a minor, serving a 20-year prison term.
In a separate allegation dated August 5, 2020, an individual disclosed being introduced to Epstein by a Canadian woman, described as an aspiring French Canadian model, who was a mutual friend of Maxwell. The individual, identified as a jewelry designer, recounted the meeting in New York City around 2004 or 2005, alleging that the Canadian woman facilitated the introduction of young women, including underage aspiring models, to Epstein for various purposes.
These revelations shed light on the intricate web of connections involving Epstein, Nygard, and various individuals with ties to the high-profile cases.
