“Ryan Dinwiddie Takes Helm as Redblacks’ New Head Coach-GM”

The Ottawa Redblacks have made significant changes in their coaching staff and management team. Ryan Dinwiddie, the former head coach of the Toronto Argonauts who led the team to two Grey Cup victories during his five-year tenure, has been appointed as the new head coach and general manager for the Redblacks. This decision comes after Bob Dyce was dismissed from his coaching role following Ottawa’s disappointing 4-14 season performance, which led to their absence from the CFL playoffs.

Additionally, Shawn Burke, who was initially brought on as the general manager in December 2021, has been promoted to the position of vice-president of football operations within the organization. Dinwiddie’s transition from Toronto to Ottawa was facilitated by the promotion offered by the Redblacks.

The Redblacks have struggled to secure a playoff spot in recent years, missing the CFL playoffs in five of the last six seasons since their defeat to the Calgary Stampeders in the 2018 Grey Cup final. This latest move aims to revitalize the team and improve their performance in the upcoming seasons.
