CF Montreal Fires Assistant Coach Maxime Leconte

CF Montreal has terminated assistant coach Maxime Leconte after an internal disciplinary procedure. The Major League Soccer team made the announcement on Wednesday without disclosing the specific reason for Leconte’s dismissal, citing confidentiality concerns. Leconte, a 35-year-old French national, had been with the club for a brief period since joining the coaching staff in May. His removal comes following Marco Donadel’s appointment as CF Montreal’s permanent head coach two weeks prior. Donadel, who assumed the role on an interim basis in March, led the team through a challenging season culminating in a 6-18-10 record. CF Montreal boasted the youngest squad and the lowest payroll in Major League Soccer.
