Canadiens’ Kirby Dach Out 4-6 Weeks with Foot Fracture

Montreal Canadiens’ player Kirby Dach will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks due to a foot fracture, as announced by the team on Sunday. To fill the gap, the team has brought up Joshua Roy from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Laval Rocket.

This injury adds to the Canadiens’ recent string of setbacks. Montreal confirmed the extended absence of both forward Alex Newhook and defenseman Kaiden Guhle on Friday after undergoing surgical procedures. Newhook’s right ankle surgery will keep him out for approximately four months, while Guhle’s surgery for a partially torn adductor muscle is expected to sideline him for eight to 10 weeks.

Dach, who has recorded five goals and two assists in 15 games this season, will now be out of action for an extended period.
