Ticketmaster, a primary retailer for Jays tickets, was impacted by the outage, as confirmed by the team’s social media. The Blue Jays mentioned in their initial X post that they are actively collaborating with both parties to swiftly address the problem and will provide further updates soon.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers services such as data storage and computing to various entities. The AWS outage, which commenced early Monday, disrupted numerous websites and apps like Snapchat and Reddit. Investigations are ongoing to determine the root cause of the issue.
The outage, lasting approximately three hours, was traced back to the US-EAST-1 Region, identified as Northern Virginia on the company’s website. In the event the Blue Jays triumph over Seattle on Monday, they will advance to face the Dodgers in the World Series. Tickets for the World Series are anticipated to go on sale on Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET on the team’s website.
