Brad Jacobs Leads Team Canada to Victory Over South Korea at Pan Continental Curling Championships

Canada’s Brad Jacobs continued his winning streak at the Pan Continental Curling Championships by defeating South Korea 14-6 in Virginia, Minn. Jacobs and his team from Calgary started strong, breaking the tie in the sixth end with four points, and sealing the win with five more points in the eighth end. Despite South Korea’s Soo-Hyuk Kim putting up a tough fight in the first half, the Canadian team’s solid performance led them to victory.

Jacobs, along with vice-skip Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant, and lead Ben Hebert, showcased exceptional teamwork with a combined shooting accuracy of 93%, with Kennedy leading the pack at 95%. Their next match is against New Zealand’s Sean Becker, scheduled for later on the same day at the Iron Range Motors Event Center.

On the women’s side, Ottawa’s Rachel Homan secured a convincing 9-3 victory over Mexico’s Adriana Camarena, setting the pace with three points in the first end. Homan, with a record of 2-1, is gearing up for two matches on Thursday against South Korea’s Eunji Gim and China’s Rui Wang, who are both strong contenders in the tournament.

The Pan Continental Curling Championships serve as a regional qualifier for the upcoming 2026 men’s and women’s world championships, adding an extra layer of significance to the ongoing competition.
