“Canada Airport Delays Continue Amid CBSA Kiosk Outage”

Travellers at airports across Canada, including Toronto, are facing significant delays due to an outage of the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) inspection kiosks. This is the second time this week that the kiosks have experienced issues, resulting in lengthy wait times from Vancouver to Montreal on Sunday.

The CBSA acknowledged the problem and expressed apologies for the inconvenience caused, assuring passengers that they are actively working to resolve the issue. While the specific locations impacted were not disclosed, Toronto’s Pearson International Airport has warned passengers of extended wait times, particularly affecting terminals one and three.

According to a CBSA spokesperson, the initial outage was triggered by an unexpected technical glitch during routine maintenance. The disruption on Sunday also affected check-ins for flights bound for Canada, requiring airline staff to contact Canadian authorities for passport verifications.

Travellers are advised to anticipate delays and exercise patience as authorities address the situation.
