Donald Glover Reveals Stroke Scare Amid Tour Cancellation

Donald Glover recently shared details about a health scare that led to the cancellation of his tour last year. During a performance at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw music festival in Los Angeles, Glover revealed that a doctor diagnosed him with having a stroke after experiencing severe head pain during a show in Louisiana. Despite struggling with vision issues, he continued with the performance until seeking medical attention in Houston.

Initially, Glover postponed his tour dates in September 2024 but later decided to cancel the remaining shows in the U.S., U.K., and Europe to prioritize his health. He emphasized the need to address his health seriously, leading to the tour cancellation rather than rescheduling the dates.

Expressing disappointment for letting down his fans, Glover mentioned that he still has unfulfilled plans, such as visiting Ireland. Additionally, he disclosed undergoing two surgeries for a heart condition where a hole was discovered. Reflecting on his experiences, Glover urged the audience to cherish life and acknowledged the blessings of his time spent with his fans.

The tour was intended to mark the farewell of Glover’s Childish Gambino persona, following his announcement of retiring the alter ego and releasing his final album under the moniker, “Bando Stone and the New World.”

Representatives for Glover have not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
