“Female Suspect At Large After Stabbings on Yaletown Seawall”

Three individuals were stabbed along the Yaletown seawall in Vancouver on Friday morning, with the female perpetrator still at large, according to Vancouver police. The stabbings occurred near David Lam Park around 7:30 a.m. PT, as reported by authorities.

The Vancouver Police Department confirmed that the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. It is believed that the stabbings were separate incidents, possibly happening just minutes apart, said Const. Tania Visintin, a spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department in a statement to CBC News.

The stabbings were apparently unprovoked and random, with no prior altercations leading up to the incidents, Visintin mentioned. The suspect is described as an Indigenous woman in her late 20s or early 30s, characterized by long black hair tied in a ponytail and a slender physique. She was attired in a notable black leather jacket, tight pants, and either a leopard-print shirt or scarf.

To gather more detailed information about the suspect, officers are actively seeking video footage from the vicinity, as outlined by Visintin. Concern among the public and seawall users is acknowledged by the police, given the nature of the incident.

Visintin emphasized the traumatic impact of such random attacks, noting that while physical wounds heal, emotional scars can be profound. She urged individuals with any relevant information or video recordings to come forward and assist the authorities in their investigation.
