American celebrity Kim Kardashian revealed that she had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, as reported by U.S. media sources. The disclosure came during a preview for the latest season of her reality show, “The Kardashians,” now airing on Hulu. Kardashian shared that a “small aneurysm” was discovered by doctors following an MRI scan, hinting that stress may have contributed to the condition, particularly after her recent divorce from musician Ye (formerly Kanye West).
In the teaser, Kardashian expressed the ongoing connection with her ex-husband due to their four children, emphasizing that walking away was not a simple option. Previously, Kardashian had endorsed full-body MRI scans, despite some medical professionals cautioning against their universal application.
It remains unclear if Kardashian was experiencing any symptoms related to the aneurysm. Representatives for Kardashian, including her agent, publicist, and lawyer, have not responded to requests for comment. A brain aneurysm involves the abnormal bulging of blood vessels in the brain, with the potential to lead to a brain hemorrhage if ruptured. These aneurysms are typically discovered incidentally during medical evaluations for unrelated issues and are generally manageable, especially when small.
While stress is not typically cited as a direct cause of brain aneurysms, it can impact risk factors like high blood pressure, as noted by Johns Hopkins. Besides her television role in “Alls Fair,” Kardashian has dedicated the past year to her legal studies, aiming to become a trial attorney. She recently testified in a court case involving a group known as the “grandpa robbers,” accused of stealing her jewelry at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
