“Odell Beckham Jr. Suspended 6 Games for Failed Drug Test”

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has confirmed accepting a six-game suspension from the NFL due to reportedly failing a performance-enhancing drug test last year, as revealed on the Pivot podcast. The NFL has informed Beckham that he will be ineligible to play until Week 12.

During the podcast, the 32-year-old Beckham asserted that he was unaware of taking any performance-enhancing substances. Last season, while playing nine games with the Miami Dolphins, Beckham recorded career lows of nine catches for 55 yards.

Despite the setback, the seasoned NFL player, a former first-round pick in the 2014 draft, expressed his desire to continue his career this season. Beckham had impressive performances in his earlier years, achieving 1,000-yard seasons in four out of his first five seasons with the New York Giants.

After moving to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and then to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, Beckham secured a Super Bowl victory with the Rams in 2021 before suffering an ACL injury in the same game. Throughout his career, Beckham has accumulated 575 receptions for 7,987 yards, ranking 119th in NFL history in terms of receiving yards.
