The Ottawa Redblacks have terminated head coach Bob Dyce following the team’s six consecutive defeats to conclude the season. The decision was made following Ottawa’s 35-15 loss to Hamilton, which resulted in the club missing the CFL playoffs for the fifth time since their 2018 Grey Cup appearance. Dyce, who joined the Redblacks in 2016 as a special-teams coordinator before assuming the head coaching role in 2022, guided the team to a 9-8-1 record and a playoff berth last season after a five-year hiatus. However, this year, the Redblacks finished with a 4-14 record under his leadership, bringing his overall coaching record to 18-39-1. General manager Shawn Burke acknowledged the challenging decision, commending Dyce for his dedication and hard work.
