Toronto police have announced the charging of seven additional individuals in connection to the unauthorized operation of drones over Rogers Centre during recent Blue Jays post-season baseball matches. Utilizing specialized drone technology, the Toronto Emergency Management and Public Order Unit detected and intercepted seven unauthorized drone flights in the vicinity of the baseball stadium during games held on Sunday and Monday. Seven individuals faced a total of eight charges for contravening Canadian Aviation Regulations and breaching federally designated no-fly zones. According to the drone policy of Rogers Centre, the stadium falls within the no-fly zone of the nearby Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Earlier this month, law enforcement had already fined two individuals for similar drone activities during games. The Toronto Blue Jays are set to play Game 6 against the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series at home this Sunday.
