Taylor Swift has claimed the top spot on Spotify’s inaugural list of its most streamed artists in history, revealed on Thursday morning. Following her is Puerto Rican sensation Bad Bunny, who has consistently made waves on the streaming platform. Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, held the title of Spotify’s most played artist of the year in 2025 for the fourth time, knocking Swift off the throne.
The battle for supremacy between the two artists has been a back-and-forth affair. Swift secured the top position in the previous two years, while Bad Bunny dominated from 2020 to 2023. In the overall rankings, Drake takes the third spot as Spotify’s most streamed artist of all time, with other notable names like The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, and Ed Sheeran following suit.
Spotify did not disclose details about its data collection methods when questioned. Alongside unveiling its top streamed artists globally, Spotify also highlighted its most streamed albums, songs, podcasts, and audiobooks as part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations.
