Fans of all ages gathered at the airport, waving scarves and signs to welcome the players upon their arrival. Erika Wootten, a dedicated follower of the team, expressed her excitement at meeting the players in person after closely following their journey throughout the season.
Wootten, a member of the Crow Collective supporters group, shared that the team’s resilience and determination, evident throughout the season, resonated with the Vancouver style of play. Despite facing challenges, including being considered underdogs against Toronto, Vancouver Rise showcased their grit and perseverance to secure the championship title.
