Blue Jays standout Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is in the running for another Silver Slugger award. Major League Baseball revealed the finalists for the prestigious awards recognizing the top offensive players at each position in both leagues. Alongside Guerrero, Toronto’s Bo Bichette and George Springer have also been named as finalists.
The winners, determined through votes from Major League managers and coaches excluding their own players, will be disclosed on November 7. Guerrero, who clinched the AL first-base honor in 2021, showcased impressive stats this season, hitting .292 with 23 home runs and 93 RBIs while only striking out 94 times in 589 at-bats.
Despite missing the final three weeks of the regular season due to a knee sprain, Bichette secured the second spot in the majors with 181 hits. He boasted a .311 batting average, 18 home runs, and 94 RBIs. On the other hand, Springer, aiming for his third Silver Slugger award and first since 2019, had a remarkable 2025 season with a career-best .309 batting average, 32 home runs, and 84 RBIs.
